Product Dimensions: The EVANNEX Pet Cargo Cover is approximately 52″ L x 40″ W x 18″ H and weighs about 3 pounds. The portion which covers the floor is 52” long and 40″ wide. The side flaps go up approximately 18” from the floor while the front flap goes up 14” on the seat back. The back seat flap has a handy pocket for storing small items.

Installation Steps

Overview: The Pet Cargo Cover for Tesla Owners is a simple and effective way to keep your Tesla Model S, Model X, and Model Y trunk clean while transporting any objects which might leave a mess.

Step 1: Fasten the front portion of the Pet Cargo Cover to the back of the second row rear seat by looping the driver-side and passenger-side adjustable straps (adjust as required) to fit over the driver-side and passenger-side head rests.

Model S Installation Steps

Step S2: Place the base of the Pet Cargo Cover along the cargo area floor being sure that there is a crease between the cargo cover flap for the second row rear seat back and the cargo cover base (i.e., they should form an approximate right angle).

Step S3: Fold the cargo cover side flaps inward and onto the cargo cover base surface.

Step S4: Use the hook and loop fasteners to adhere the side flaps to the sides of the storage area. The hook fasteners should “grab” the tight weave, carpet-like material used on the storage area side walls.

Step S5: Attach the side flaps to the cargo cover flap for the second row rear seat back using the hook and loop fasteners.

The Pet Cargo Cover is ready for use.

Model X Installation Steps

Step X2: Place the base of the Pet Cargo Cover along the cargo area floor being sure that there is a crease between the cargo cover flap for the second row rear seat back and the cargo cover base (i.e., they should form an approximate right angle).

Step X3: Fold the cargo cover side flaps inward and onto the cargo cover base surface.

Step X4: Attach the suction cup cords to the side flaps of the Pat Cargo cover (their length can be adjusted in Step X7).

Step X5: Use the hook and loop fasteners to adhere the side flaps to the plastic side trim on the sides of the storage area. The hook fasteners should “grab” the loop fastener that adheres to the trim.

Step X6: Adjust the length of each suction cup cord and then attach it to the side window in the storage area. Note that adhesion can be enhanced by moistening the suction cup.

Step X7: Attach the side flaps to the cargo cover flap for the second row rear seat back using the hook and loop fasteners.

Step X8: Attach the side flaps to the cargo cover flap for the second row rear seat back using the hook and loop fasteners.

The Pet Cargo Cover is ready for use.

Removal

Remove the head rest straps and then pull off the velcro connectors attached to the cover itself, leaving the adhesive Velcro strip(s) on the underside of the parcel shelf and/or the side trim piece so that you can reinstall the cargo cover easily.

Cleaning and Care

Due to the water-resistant nature of this fabric, it is best to spot clean it with soapy water. If you encounter a bigger problem than a sponge can handle, we suggest hosing off the cargo cover outside your vehicle. Do NOT place the cargo cover in a clothes dryer.

 

 

FAQ

Does the Pet Cargo Cover protect the entire trunk space?

Yes, it does. It covers the back of the rear seat backs, the trunk floor, and the sides of the trunk.

Is the Pet Cargo Cover easy to install?

Yes. Simply loop the cargo cover’s adjustable strips over the driver and passenger rear seat head rests, and use the the built-in hook and loop connectors. Then attach the sides of the cargo cover to the the sides of the trunk using the hook and loop strips provided. Model X owners, please use the suction cup cords.

Can the Pet Cargo Cover be used for the Model X and Model Y as well as the Model S?

Yes, it can. Installation remains the same with the exception of a slightly different—but no more difficult—approach to fastening the sides.

Will a small liquid spill be contained by the Pet Cargo Cover?

Yes, the cargo cover material is water resistant and will contain a small spill. However, a major spill may still cause damage.

Is the Pet Cargo Cover easy to clean?

Yes. The best approach for dust, dirt, fur, or other particulate matter is to either vacuum it out or pull the cover out and shake it on the ground. Small liquid spills can be dried with a towel. Additional cleaning instructions are provided under the “Installation” tab.

Can I remove the hook and loop side fasteners without leaving marks on the plastic trim for Model X?

The hook and loop backing should come off without leaving any marks. When removing the hook and loop tape, we recommend using a hair dryer to warm and loosen the adhesive backing, and then remove it slowly. If any residue does remain, we recommend removing it with acetone on a paper towel.

What is the shipping time frame of this product?

The EVANNEX Pet Cargo Cover usually ships within 24 business hours of receipt of order. Delivery time depends on your location relative to South Florida and is typically within three (3) days for the continental U.S.
